G

Dear Members of the Harvard Club of Vietnam (HCV),

G

I hope this message finds you well. I am incredibly honored and happy to be taking the baton from Dao and David in taking over leadership of the Club. As for a little       background on myself, I am a Harvard College grad (Lowell House, Classics ’95) who has been living and working in Vietnam since 2001. My main day job is being   the Chairman of Phoenix Holdings, but most know me more for McDonald’s, sports (Saigon Heat basketball and LAFC), and Timo Digital Bank. Joining me in leadership of   the Club in this 5-year term are Stephen Turban (AB ’17, Statistics) as Vice President and Teddy Kim (AB ’85, Economics) as the third member of our Board. We are looking   forward to meeting all the members of HCV at future events and reconnecting with old friends now that we are back to a normalized, post-pandemic world.

As part of creating a more active and healthy club, we look forward to organizing more exciting events with visitors from Harvard as well as other dignitaries. In addition   to events with special guests, we plan to have more regular get togethers, including a monthly happy hours, and also plan to work with the other Ivy League Alumni clubs to   host joint events. Of course, we are always happy to have our members to share your ideas for greater connection and to volunteer to lead specific activities. Most importantly,   we look forward to creating more opportunities for our members to connect and share friendship and common interests.

G

            All the best,

      Henry (Hoang) Nguyen
